What have I been doing?
I have been finishing my next book, which comes out at the beginning of 2024. I’m so excited about this, but you’ll have to wait until nearer the time for more details. Suffice to say, it’s set in WW2, but this time in London during the Blitz in 1940. My grandmother used to tell stories about being in the city and having to dive into the underground station to shelter when the bombers came thick and fast overhead. Book Six is in the pipeline! Yes, I've been busy thinking through ideas for my next book, and already one very special story has come to the fore. I read about it many years ago in a memoir, and with a little time, a lot of thought, and some healthy imagination, all the characters, the settings, and that feeling of the era can be brought back to life.
My summer is filled with lovely trips away with my family and a writing retreat with my JHU writing friends. I’m looking forward to some wonderful chats about writing, as well as getting some great new book recommendations.
